I Want To Travel To Japan Because

Cultural Experience of Japan

I want to travel to Japan because I want to experience the unique, vibrant culture of the country, which is something that I can’t do without visiting. Japan is a land of endless opportunities to explore and uncover, from ancient shrines and bustling cities to its captivating nightlife filled with great bars and amazing nightclubs. Japan is home to a rich culture full of antiquity and modernity, steeped in samurai tradition and steeped in the innovative technologies of today.
There are several cultural experiences I’m looking forward to in Japan. Visiting a Buddhist temple and seeing the detailed decorative architecture and artwork, with its winding pathways and serene atmosphere, is a beautiful way to marvel in the majestic history of Japan. Taking part in the traditional tea ceremony, as well as seeing classic Kabuki theatre performances, are unique experiences that I’m looking forward to having.
Most of the time when people talk about Japan, they are referring to the country’s history, art and culture. Japan has a long and rich history, and has managed to preserve many of its traditional values and customs. There is a unique, captivating blend of ancient and modern in Japan, which makes exploring the country fascinating. In Tokyo, visitors can explore ancient shrines, take in amazing artifacts at the Tokyo National Museum, and shop at the famous Kokyo Ginza district.
The incredible food culture of Japan is another bonus of visiting the country that can’t be overlooked. From sushi to ramen noodles, the rich diversity of Japan’s cuisine is something that everyone should experience. Not only is there a wide variety of food to try, but there are also incredible flavors and aromas that you won’t find anywhere else. Spending time in the traditional markets and dining in restaurants that make both traditional and modern dishes provides an insight into Japan’s local culinary offerings as well.

Amazing Natural Landscapes of Japan

The amazing natural landscapes of Japan is another factor that draws me to the country. The four main islands of Japan – Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku – form the majority of the country’s landmass and are each home to stunning, unique scenery.
Hokkaido is a hot spot for tourists, known for its snow-capped mountain peaks, dusky lava fields, and crystal-clear lakes. Owing to its proximity to the Ocean, it’s a paradise for beach-lovers, boasting pristine beaches and frequent sightings of whales and dolphins.
Honshu is Japan’s biggest island and is home to multiple major cities, such as Kyoto, Nara, and Tokyo. Despite the urban sprawl, there are still plenty of amazing natural attractions like Mt. Fuji, the lush valleys of Kiso-Kitanokuni, and the slightly macabre ‘Suicide Forest.’
Kyushu is known as the tourist’s paradise, thanks to its mix of beaches, mountainous terrain, and the ‘Cape of Reaches’ National Park. It’s also known for its captivating active volcanoes, including Mt. Aso, and the dense forests of Yakushima, with its ancient cedar trees rising out of the mist.
Shikoku is Japan’s least-visited island and has some of the most untouched scenery and very few of the typical tourist hubs. It’s known for its hiking trails and offers unique opportunities for individual exploration.

World Renowned Art and Entertainment

In addition to visiting the stunning natural landscapes in Japan, I am looking forward to discovering the country’s world-renowned art and entertainment offerings. Japan has a thriving art and entertainment scene, with the country’s unique martial arts, animation, manga and movies all being popular globally. Watching a unique performance of the traditional Noh theatre or Sumo wrestling is a must-see for any visitor. Live music festivals and experimental electronic music options are also popular and provide unforgettable experiences.

Technology and Convenience

Modern day Japan is characterized by its advanced technologies and convenience. The country is well-known for its speedy rail networks, neat grooming habits, and efficient lifestyle. As a visitor, it is interesting to see the way the country has managed to adopt and integrate these modern technologies into its culture and ways of life. Moreover, the high tech toilets, interesting vending machines, and even the karaoke booths bring a unique experience to an otherwise familiar atmosphere.
The country is also well-known for its service-oriented culture where attention to detail is key, and for its reusable energy source and efficient energy use practices. This efficient lifestyle provides for a unique experience that is sure to bring back memories and lasting experiences.

Weather and Fun Festivals

The final reason that draws me to Japan is the perfect weather and fun festivals. Japan experiences four distinct seasons, spring, summer, fall and winter, each with their unique shades of nature’s beauty. Summer in particular is a favorite season to enjoy, as the flowering cherry blossom trees start to bloom and bring a breathtaking sight to the Japanese streets.
Furthermore, Japan is also known for its unique festivals and events that take place throughout the year. From the spectacular Sakura season in April to the electric atmosphere of the O-Bon Matsuri in August, there’s a festival for everyone. Moreover, the country also has winter festivals, such as the Sapporo Snow Festival, which features massive snow sculptures that are sure to take your breath away.

Shopping and Cuisine

The famous shopping and cuisine of Japan is another huge draw for me. Japan is a shopper’s paradise, with countless malls and markets to explore for a unique shopping experience. From traditional Japanese craft markets to upscale malls, the country is full of options to choose from. Shopping in Japan is also an enjoyable experience; intriguing stations like the Tsukiji Fish Market and the Ueno Street Market are fun to explore, and the diversity of products is unparalleled.
Culinary wise, Japan is truly a paradise. From various ramen options, to the best sushi and sashimi served fresh, the variety of dishes is sure to thrill any foodie. Furthermore, the country is also host to numerous bars and restaurants from all around the world. From Italian pizza and French pastries to local dishes such as tempura and curry, Japan truly offers some of the best eats in the world.

Language and Hospitality

The unique language and hospitality of Japan is something I’m looking forward to experiencing. Japanese is a complicated language for a foreigner to learn, but it is a language that I’m fascinated by. Studying the language is not just about being able to communicate with locals; it’s also about experiencing the nuances of the culture. Furthermore, the Japanese people are known for their hospitality, as people in Japan are welcoming and open to visitors from foreign countries.
It is this combination of the unique culture, amazing natural landscapes, art and entertainment, and high-tech convenience that have drawn me to Japan, and that I’m looking forward to experiencing during my next visit.
